Lithological Description: Mostly a cobble conglomerate, containing clasts of basic or intermediate lavas, vein quartz, quartzite and other metamorphic rocks with lenses of pebbly sandstone.
Definition of Lower Boundary: The base of the youngest body of 'mixed conglomerate' on Uamh Bheag, north-east of Callander, which interdigitates partly with the Teith Sandstone and partly with the Cromix Mudstone formations.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Strongly diachronous, overlain by and interfingered with sandstones of the Teith Sandstone Formations
Thickness: Up to at least 233 m thick.
Geographical Limits: The Callander to Highland Border area, on the north-west limb of the Strathmore Syncline.
