Lithological Description: Mottled red and grey, massive to rubbly, argillaceous to sandy limestone (fossil soil carbonate or calcrete) and associated calcareous sandstones, siltstones and conglomerates.
Definition of Lower Boundary: At base of lowest limestone bed.
Definition of Upper Boundary: At top of highest limestone bed, which is locally truncated by an irregular erosion surface overlain by red pebbly sandstone of the Clee Formation.
Thickness: 4.6 to 5.2 m.
Geographical Limits: Brown Clee Hill, Shropshire.
