Lithological Description: Conglomerate, matrix-clast supported, calcareous, very coarse sand (grit) matrix. Clasts up to 6cm, unsorted, rounded/subrounded, exclusively of white, milky and clear vein quartz.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Within Bin Mountain Sandstone: Change from orange-weathering, fine-grained sandstones, below, to coarse conglomerate.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Within Bin Mountain Sandstone: Top of conglomerate marked by 0.04m of black coaly shale and orange-weathering medium- to coarse-grained decalcified pebbly sandstone.
Thickness: 0 - 5m
Geographical Limits: The Omagh area of the northwest Carboniferous basin of Ireland.
