Definition of Upper Boundary: Top of dominantly semipelitic rocks below the dominantly calcareous and graphitic rocks of the overlying Gleann Beag Schist Formation.

Geographical Limits: Glen Shee district: north-west part of Sheet 56W, south-west part of Sheet 65W, south-east part of Sheet 64E and north-east part of Sheet 55E.
