Definition of Lower Boundary: In type section rests on marine sands of Eem Formation (Eemian Interglacial). In Flemish Bight Sheet, rests on the Eem Formation or on brackish-marine early Weichselian clays of the Brown Bank Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Overlain by early Holocene peat or brackish marine sand (Elbow Formation) or marine sand (Bligh Bank Formation).
Thickness: 1 - 25 metres
