Lithological Description: Dark grey pelite with garnet and biotite, graphitic, schistose with subsidiary semipelite. Contains beds of dark metalimestone, some grading into calcareous pelite and calc-silicate rock. The sequence contains at least two units of relatively pure metacarbonate rock; the thicker beds of metalimestone are up to 10-15m thick.
