Definition of Lower Boundary: At the base of the lowest volcaniclastic sandstone bed resting on the Downie Point Conglomerate Member.
Definition of Upper Boundary: The base of the lowest coarse conglomerate bed in the Castle Haven Conglomerate Member.
Thickness: Up to 350 m thick, according to Armstrong and Paterson 1970.
Geographical Limits: Stonehaven area.
