Definition of Lower Boundary: Unconformable on Raglan Mudstone (Siluro-Devonian).
Definition of Upper Boundary: Overlain by Westphalian D Coal Measures.
Thickness: 80m. Thinning to 0 within 2km to northwest; cut out by faulting within 0.5km to east of type locality.
