Lithological Description: Gneissose to migmatitic psammite and siliceous psammite, potash feldspar rich, thin bands of quartzite.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Poorly exposed, tectonised base structurally overlying the Flichity Semipelite Formation. No way-up criteria.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Near Lochindorb [NH 968 320] it appears to be stratigraphically overlain by the Glen Banchor Subgroup, taken at the base of thick quartzite units.
Thickness: Possibly exceeds 1 kilometre.
Geographical Limits: Central Highlands of Scotland. Slochd area extending eastwards and northwards across Dava Moor.
