Definition of Upper Boundary: (Boundary is transitional). Drawn at conformable upward passage from red-brown sandstone of the Seamill Sandstone Formation to white or cream sandstone of the Fairlie Sandstone Formation.
Thickness: At least 1000m
Geographical Limits: Strathclyde, Scotland. Sheets 21 and 29. East of Largs Fault Zone.
