Lithological Description: Pelitic gneiss, garnetiferous; with abundant, deformed quartzo-feldspathic segregations. Thin layers of semipelitic gneiss and calc-silicate rock.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Structurally overlying the Lagan Mor Formation (LAMO), but separated by a shearzone with intense mylonitisation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Overlain by the Ardalanish Striped Formation (ASTR), likely with conformable contact.
Thickness: c. 80-300 m (post-deformational thickness).
Geographical Limits: Ross of Mull, Isle of Mull, Inner Hebrides.
Parent Unit: Glenfinnan Group (GLEN)
