Lithological Description: Irregular packets and lenses of pebble and boulder conglomerate within wacke sandstone. Clasts include vein quartz, quartzite, rhyolite, microgranite, granophyre, granite, chert and mudstone.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Enclosed within wacke sandstone of the Mindork Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Enclosed within wacke sandstone of the Mindork Formation.
Thickness: Several packets of beds, some packets up to 100m thick.
Geographical Limits: Southern Uplands of Scotland.
