Definition of Lower Boundary: Overlies extensive deposits of till probably equivalent of the Kirkham Glacigenic Formation (Irish Sea Coast Glacigenic Subgroup).
Definition of Upper Boundary: Gradational with overlying post-glacial sequence of clay, silt and sand.
Thickness: 0 to 18m
Geographical Limits: Cumbria, offshore in Morecambe Bay.
