Lunde unit

Computer Code: LUND Preferred Map Code: notEntered
Status Code: Index Level
Age range: Triassic Period (T) — Triassic Period (T)
Lithological Description: Vollset and Doré (1984) introduced the formational terms Lunde, Lomvi and Teist for divisions of the thick Triassic sediments of the Norwegian sector north of 60°N. It is recommended that the Lunde, Lomvi and Teist divisions be designated informal units of the Cormorant Formation in the UK sector, to be applied only where there is strong evidence that they correlate with their equivalent formations in the Norwegian sector.
