Lithological Description: A dark grey mudstone, with pale siltstone laminae and sandstone as thin to medium beds locally forming packets up to several tens of metres; debrite (pebbly mudstone) is well developed locally.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Faulted with the Glen Dhoo Formation, distinguished by a change from a mudstone-dominated facies to a siltstone/sandstone-dominated facies in the overlying Glen Dhoo formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Not seen.
Thickness: About. 250 m thick.
