Definition of Lower Boundary: The unconformable base of the quartz-feldspar-biotite-bearing vitric tuff of dacitic composition, or at the incoming of similar rocks towards the top of the Crawton Volcanic Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: The top of the quartz-feldspar-biotite-bearing vitric tuff of dacitic composition in the Crawton Volcanic Formation, overlain by strata or lavas of the Arbuthnott-Garvock Group.
Thickness: Up to 150m thick.
Geographical Limits: Dunkeld to Glenbervie.
