Definition of Upper Boundary: Silty mudstones of the Formation are sharply but generally conformably overlain by coarse-grained or conglomeratic sandstones of the Bronllwyd Grit Formation.
Thickness: c.1000m
Geographical Limits: Northern Snowdonia.
