Lithological Description: Presumed fine-grained sands, silts and clays (no samples in British sector). Characterised in seismic profiles by overlapping units bounded by Sigmoid reflectors, with evidence of prograding towards the west onto the Westkapelle Ground Formation. Probably prodelta deposits.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Unconformably overlies Westkapelle Ground Formation; passes laterally westwards into Smith's Knoll Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Unconformably overlain by Winterton Shoal or Yarmouth Roads Formation or locally by Eem Formation in Dutch sector.
Thickness: 0 - 200 metres, occurs only east of 2 deg. 40' East.
Geographical Limits: Not defined.
