Lithological Description: A well-rounded cobble and boulder conglomerate of mainly metamorphic rock types, with beds of pebbly sandstone.
Definition of Lower Boundary: The base of the lowest bed in which metamorphic rock types predominate in conglomerate clasts, overlying the Craighall Conglomerate Formation with its typically volcanic clasts.
Definition of Upper Boundary: The top of the highest conglomerate bed beneath a sequence of cross-bedded pebbly sandstones of the Tannadice Sandstone Member exposed in the River Ericht at [NO 1787 4577].
Thickness: About 950 m thick
Geographical Limits: The Blairgowrie to Alyth area, northern Midland Valley.
