Lithological Description: A white to pale grey, generally fine-grained siliceous sandstone, described as evenly bedded and hard, but displaying cross-bedding as well. Intraclasts of ripped-up mudstone, siltstone and coaly plant remains are uncommon and localized in occurrence.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Conformable.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Conformable.
Thickness: 36.27m in Reference Section.
Geographical Limits: South Central Fife, in the Burntisland area [NT 19 86 to NT 25 86].
