Lithological Description: Pelitic gneiss, and intimately interbanded ('striped') psammite, pelite, semipelite and quartzite, variably gneissose.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Overlies the Sgurr Beag Thrust; with Morar Group beneath; locally unconformable upon Lewisianoid Gneiss.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Overlain by the Loch Eil Group (LEIL) with a transitional, possibly interfingering boundary.
Thickness: Strongly deformed, likely several km.
Geographical Limits: Northern Highlands. Restricted to the Sgurr Beag Nappe and structural equivalents.
Parent Unit: Loch Ness Supergroup (LNES)
