Lithological Description: Generally clayey sandy gravel with sand beds of limited lateral extent. Is known to include peat and macrofaunal debris.

Thickness: Generally between 2 and 5m thick.
Geographical Limits: The member is mapped in the unnamed tributary valley between Shippards Chine and Brighstone that parallels the south-western cliffs of the Isle of Wight. The confluent area with the major Western Yar Valley is absent due to coastal erosion.
