Definition of Upper Boundary: Drawn at conformable upward passage from pelite of the Scatsta Pelitic Formation to quartzite of the Scatsta Quartzitic Formation.
Thickness: 1250 m approx.
Geographical Limits: Shetlands, Scotland.
