Lithological Description: Consolidated, red silty clay or clayey silt with pebbles to boulders of local and exotic lithologies.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Placed generally where the till overlies the clays and silts of the underlying White House Silts. Locally, the base rests on Mathon Sand and Gravel.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Placed at junction of red till and overlying grey to yellow-brown stony clay solifluction/gelifluction deposits of Colwall Gelifluctate.
Thickness: Maximum proved thickness of c.10 metres.
Geographical Limits: Cradley - Glynch Brook Valleys, Herefordshire.
