Definition of Upper Boundary: Sharp contact between fossiliferous sandstone and the overlying mudstone.
Thickness: 3.54m in type section, 0 - 16m elsewhere
Geographical Limits: Present in the Harrogate, Leeds, Masham and Pateley Bridge areas.
