| Lithological Description: |
Layered cumulate gabbros, with zones rich in xenoliths a zone of poikilitic leucogabbro, gabbro and hypersthene gabbro, cut by biotite quartz-gabbro. Radiometric age 468 +/- 9 Ma (K-Ar whole rock) (Rundle, 1979). Geochemically similar to the Eycott Volcanic Group, with which it is considered to be associated (Hunter, 1980). |
