Lithological Description: A white to grey quartzite, locally feldspathic. Pebbly beds with clasts up to several centimetres across, are rare. Cross-lamination is only preserved in areas of low strain.
Definition of Lower Boundary: First occurance of white to grey quartzite feldspathic quartzite above banded to laminated psammite.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Change from grey to white quartzite upwards to pelite and semipelite of the Leven Schist Formation.
Thickness: Variable, ranges from c.100 to 20m, depending on the structural setting.
Geographical Limits: Crianlarich Sheet 46W (Scotland)
