Lithological Description: Thin interbedded and laminated reddish brown and yellowish brown fine- to medium-grained sand, silt and clay with sparse gravel. Disseminated coal fragments present throughout.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Sharp, undulating, draped, unconformable contact with reddish brown stony clay diamicton of the Holmrook Till Member of the Blengdale Glacigenic Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Sharp, planar, unconformable contact with reddish brown gravelly sandy clay diamicton of the Ravenglass Till Member of the Seascale Glacigenic Formation.
Thickness: To 27m
Geographical Limits: Identified only in the vicinity of the Drigg Landfill Site, Holmrook, Cumbria, but probably extends off-shore filling a buried channel.
