Definition of Lower Boundary: Not seen in type area but presumed to rest conformably on Llandovery Purple Shales.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Overlain conformably (by rapid passage) by Aston Mudstone Formation. Unnamed dingle (SO 3038 9094).
Thickness: May be 500m
Geographical Limits: Southern and western surround of the Shelve Ordovician outcrops, ie the Camlad Valley.
