Lithological Description: Conglomerate with quartz clasts, interbedded with pebbly sandstones.
Definition of Lower Boundary: A diachronous, transitional contact with the typical sandstone facies of the undivided Teith Sandstone Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Sharp, diachronous contact with sandstone and mudstone facies of the undivided Teith Sandstone Formation.
Thickness: Variable, 150 m at Bracklinn Falls, 350 m at Craig of Port [NN 581 022], but not found south-west of Lake of Menteith, although it may correlate with a 2 m thick quartz conglomerate in Green Burn [NS 5115 9519].
Geographical Limits: North-west limb of Strathmore Syncline between Lake of Menteith and Glen Artney.
