Partnerships

The UK School Seismology Project has developed partnerships with many university geoscience departments. These partnerships enable a broad regionally based support network to be developed for schools interested in taking part in the School Seismology Project.

• University of Edinburgh, School of Geosciences
• University of Glasgow, Dept. of Geographical and Earth Sciences
• University of Highlands and Islands
• University of Leeds, School of Earth and Environment hosted a training day for local schools in January 2009
• University of Keele, Department of Earth Sciences and Geography hosted a training day for local schools in December 2008
• Imperial College London, Department of Earth Science and Engineering hosted a successful training day for local schools  in July 2008
• University of Leicester, Department of Geology, are currently supporting 8 local schools in the Leicester area
• University of Plymouth, School of Earth, Ocean and Environmental Sciences hosted a training day in October 2008
• The Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies are supporting 43 primary and secondary schools in Ireland using the UKSSP resources
