Contaminated Land.
Dataset description
All data related to contaminated land projects formerly in the Pollution and Waste Management & Extraction Industry Impacts Programme, now part of Chemical and Biological Hazards Programme. These data include borehole, geological (solid, drift, made ground), geochemical, land use, abstraction, aerial photographic, hydrological and hydrogeological information for a variety of UK landfill sites and sites of surface contamination. Data are collated from internal and external sources and exist in a variety of formats. The purpose of such collation is to create GIS applications for Local Authorities in the UK and as investigative tools overseas. In addition on-site experiments and sample collection data are available, with associated analytical results in Excel format. Some data and some projects are strictly commercial in confidence.
