Author statement Original geological survey (on one-inch scale in Lincolnshire; six-inch scale in Yorkshire) by C. Fox-Strangways, C. Reid, W.A.E. Ussher, A.C.G. Cameron and J.R. Dakyns. Published hand-coloured as part of Old Series Sheet 86 in 1887. Reconnaissance six-inch survey of the Frodingham Ironstone field by V. Wilson in 1939-41, not published. Resurveyed on six-inch scale by G.D. Gaunt, E.G. Smith, J.G.O. Smart and T.P. Fletcher in 1964-77. D.R.A. Ponsford and E.G. Smith, District Geologists. Rockhead contours under Humber Estuary taken from shallow seismic survey interpretation by S.E. Deegan and R.T.R. Wingfield.
