Progress Reports
The relocating of UKCS cores from Gilmerton (Edinburgh) to the National Geological Repository Core Store, at Keyworth, is now well under way. The published Transfer Methodology noted that regular quality control and progress reports would be published on the BGS website.
These reports have taken the form of a general introduction, documenting minor improvements to the methodology, together with some explanatory comments, such as the interpretation of vibration levels. A monthly appendix provides the actual data on:
- comparative before and after photographs
- quality control data
- transfer quantities
- vibration levels
- general comments
