Definition Medium-grained, av. between 0.25-2mm normal crystalline extrusive/intrusive rock; qtz <20% or feldspathoid <10% of QAPF, feld >65% plagioclase; TAS SiO2 <52wt%; no genetic implication. 5-20% larger >2mm crystals of plagioclase in finer matrix.
