Definition Crystalloblastic metamorphic rock (grain size & protolith undefined); 35-90% mafic minerals, hornblende+plagioclase dominant +/-garnet/biotite/quartz. Splits into <5mm slabs/flakes defined by well-developed planar orientation of platy/prismatic minerals.
