Qualifiers No qualifiers currently exist.
Definition Non-clastic sedimentary rocks with >50% silica of biogenic or chemical origin, porosity <10% hard, dense with vitreous lustre. Translucent cryptocrystalline <0.004mm quartz, colour banded, commonly opal present.
